Download and Install MARC Wizard
Step 1: Download the Installation File
  1. Click the following button:
    Download
    The File Download window appears.
  2. Select Save. A Save As window appears.
  3. From the drop-down menu, select Save In.
  4. Select Desktop, and Save. A window will indicate the file is being downloaded.
  5. When the download is complete, select Close from the window that remains displayed.
Step 2: Install MARC Wizard
  1. Navigate to your Desktop and double-click Install_MARC_Wizard or Install_MARC_Wizard.exe. The MARC Wizard - InstallShield Wizard window appears.
  2. Follow the instruction and select Next.
  3. When the installation is complete, select Finish.
Step 3: Set up permissions

After the download and installation are complete, administrative permissions are REQUIRED for MARC Wizard access. (You may need to contact your school's IT specialist, System Administrator, Media or Network Manager for this information).

Follow a set of directions below based on your Operating System:

Setting Windows 7/Windows Vista permissions
  1. Log into Windows as an Administrator
  2. Open Computer
  3. Open the (C:) drive (local disk)
  4. Open Program Files (x86, if you have the option)
  5. Right-click the MARC Wizard folder and select Properties
  6. Select the Security tab
  7. Click on Edit under Groups or user names:
  8. Select (users)\[your login name]
  9. Place a check in Allow for Full Control
  10. Click OK on both screens to save and exit Properties
Setting Windows XP permissions
  1. Log into Windows as an Administrator
  2. Open a My Computer window
  3. Open the (C:) drive (local disk)
  4. Open Program Files
  5. Right-click the MARC Wizard folder and select Properties
  6. Select the Security tab
  7. Under Groups or user names: select the MARC Wizard user's profile
  8. Place a check in Allow for Full Control
  9. Click OK to save and exit Properties
