What is FastMARC Cataloger?

The FastMARC Cataloger is a simple tool used to create MARC records. If you’re not sure about how to catalog an item, don’t worry. The step-by-step program has a number of features designed to help you:

  • Simple material types
  • Interactive, on-screen tips and examples, as well as AACR2 rules
  • Specific holdings and copy settings for all major library automation systems

How does FastMARC Cataloger work?

Step 1. Create a Catalog Record You pick the material type (e.g. fiction book, video, DVD), enter item information, and enter copy information.
